Summer Diaries

Oh my gosh!! August is here and I cannot believe how fast this summer is moving. My husband and I have been on go mode literally ALL summer which has made it a little difficult to blog. So, I thought I’d hop on here and update you on my life lately! Don’t get me wrong I have been busy in the BEST ways possible!

June Diary

I swear I had something going on EVERY weekend in June! We are at the age where weddings and baby showers are what keeps our social calendar moving. Let me be the one to tell you how much I LOVE it!!! We had my best friends baby shower (she’s not only the bestest friend, but the most amazing, beautiful and caring mama there is). It was an answered prayer to be able to celebrate their new edition and all I can say is THANK YOU GOD! I also had 2 bridal showers celebrating 2 close friends of mine. I can already see it, they will be absolutely beautiful brides. Lastly, we had 2 weddings- both of them were so much fun and I’m truly so grateful to have been able to celebrate alongside them! June was a constant reminder of how beautiful becoming a family or even adding another precious family member can be!

July Diary:

July was supposed to be a calmer month for us, however it felt like we still had something going on all the time. We had family and friends over for the Fourth of July. I made a cute American flag fruit pizza (see my recipe here)! I also had one of my close friend’s bachelorette, we celebrated the bride to be in Door County during the day and ended up coming back to celebrate both the bride and groom during the night. Jake and I cooked authentic Mexican food, though it was a rainy day fun was still had. The best part of the month was when my best friend and her sweet family FINALLY welcomed their sweet baby girl into the world. You guys, trust me there is no greater feeling then seeing your best friend become a mom yet again. I hope that one day I can be as a good of a mom as she is. Lastly, Jake and I have been working on a HUGE project, a new journey that truly wouldn’t be possible without his dedication and hard work. Thankful for such a hard working man because on our slower days that is what we focused on. Duh!!!! I’ll share more when the time right, but in the meantime I can’t tell you how excited I am (no, really ask my Pinterest boards)! Don’t worry darlings, I made sure that on the slow days I also took the time to relax and reset!

August Diary

I don’t know about you guys but for me, I consider August as the last month of summer. So with that being said I have been trying to make the best of this month! Started off strong the first weekend of August with another amazing bachelorette. This “Girls Gone Mild” weekend was truly filled with all of her favorite things. We started the morning with a walk, and a picnic at the beach. The water was warm and refreshing, we ended up diving in and splashing around like children. Afterwards we checked into our Airbnb and made homemade pizzas, played games, talked and laughed SO HARD!! I need more weekends like that one in my life! Last Friday my best friend and I binge watched the first season of The Summer I Turned Pretty and it felt SO GOOD to be able to do nothing but chat, eat and watch tv without a care in the world. We have such busy lives so having some quality girl time like that is truly my favorite!! Fast forward to Sunday Jake planned a little surprise date that I plan to blog about separately. This place was magical and deserves it’s own special little spot on the blog!! I know summer is coming to an end and I’m it will sure fly by in the upcoming weeks as I get ready to stand up in some weddings. One is next week and the following week we’ll be road tripping over to Tennessee for the second one! Whether the weddings are close to home or out of state it is such a HUGE honor to be a part of them and truly cannot wait to watch them both say “I do”!

Now that I’ve caught you up, what have you done this summer? Have you been staying busy too? Did you set some time to relax and reset? I’d love to hear all about it!!

Talk super soon!
