Hello my darlings!

This post is a little different but I’m thinking I’ll start doing some product reviews every once in a while to mix it up a bit. So cheers, to my very first product review!!!!

Summer Fridays lip balms have been my go to for quite some time now. I use this Vanilla Beige flavor all the time and I am OBSESSED! I love everything about it. The look is aesthetically pleasing. The feel is very light weight, it glides right on. Don’t get me started on the smell… it’s amazing! I also love how it give my lips an extra “pop” of color.

Elf recently launched these lip balms which seemed to be a similar product to the Summer Fridays lip balms. I found them at Target (which seriously… they really need to sponsor me- haha) and got the Vanilla Toffee to compare. The look is also aesthetically pleasing. The feel of the Elf one is pretty similar also glides right on. It has a very subtle shine to it however, I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell/flavor. It really doesn’t smell like what it’s supposed to, at least that specific one didn’t. I paid $9 for the Elf lip balm and $24 for the Summer Fridays lip balm.

Since this is an honest review, I’ll tell you that I’ll be sticking with the Summer Fridays brand. I am not too picky with much but the one thing I am very particular about is the make up I use. BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t like the Elf brand, in fact I use a lot of their other products and love how affordable they are! Since lip balm I constantly can smell when wearing, I would much rather pay extra money for any of the Summer Fridays lip balms because the smell is just perfect! The shine and the little pop of color it gives my lips make it worth the price, especially if you wear it as much as I do (literally all day, everyday).
